As a sponsor of the RAM High school rodeo, RAM Southwest is proud to be a part of an organization designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn skills they can use both inside and outside the ring.So what’s the NHSRA all about?

The NHSRA has organizations in 41 states, five Canadian provinces and Australia. More than 10,000 high school students drive their RAM trucks to participate in the various rodeos throughout the world, and some compete in the finals each year. Take a moment to read about an Oklahoma family who lives and breath’s by high school rodeo. Rodeo champions are declared in the following categories:
- All-around cowgirl/cowboy
- Barrel racing
- Breakaway roping
- Pole bending
- Goat tying
- Team roping
- Tie-down roping
- Steer wrestling
- Bareback riding
- Saddle bronco riding
- Bull riding
- Girls/boys cutting horse
In 2004, a junior-high division was created, bringing even more opportunity for youth to get involved in constructive after-school activities. The NHSRA provides leadership and mentor-ship for many students, and lets them engage with others to learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship. Students involved in the NHSRA are truly passionate about what they do, and thanks to the hard work of volunteers throughout the country, these students can compete in rodeos, honing their skills and learning the value of honest work. They can also earn scholarships through various sponsors like RAM Southwest.
